The owners of Uncle Bo’s Pupu Bar & Grill decided to expand their business with a concept restaurant. Ushijima Architects, Inc. (UAI) was contracted to construct the eatery at Keauhou Lane in Kaka’ako. The 4,100 s.f back house improvements includes a dining area with indoor/outdoor seating for 129 people total, a private dining area which seats 16, and a custom bar with built in ladders, meat display area, commercial kitchen, dish wash area, cooler/freezer area, office, and food prep area.
The air conditioning is enhanced with new ducted fan coiled units that are connected to the existing air cooling condensing units. Exhaust fan/scrubber is installed to improve the ventilation of the kitchen grease hoods, in addition to make-up air for the kitchen.
