Ushijima Architects, Inc. (UAI) was responsible for renovations to the bandstand at Kapiolani District Park. The Project included providing an ADA accessible route from the accessible parking stalls to the bandstand seating area, including landscaping; replacing the copper roof over the basement stairwell; replacing the roll-up grille panels between columns and relocating the security grille controls from the basement stairwell to the stage level; relocating eye bolts in the stage ceiling; and relocating or reconfiguring the basement drain. Repair to a pump room slab, bandstand finishes, roll up door, and sump and sewage grinder pump system were also part of the project.

UAI was responsible for field investigation, analysis, design, preparation of drawings, and construction administration for the project.
