As the Rainbow Warrior football team temporarily relocates their home field from Aloha Stadium to the UH campus, upgrades need to be completed to the University’s existing T.C. Ching Athletic Complex in order to be compliant with the current NCAA requirements.
Ushijima Architects, Inc. (UAI) teamed up with Nan, Inc. on this design-build project to provide the complex with new grandstands, demolition of the Ewa End Zone seating, utilities, lighting, civil work, sidewalks, grading, asphalt paving, electrical infrastructure, signage, moving services and any miscellaneous improvements to accommodate football games.
For the architectural scope of work, UAI is working collaboratively with the design team associated with creating a new storage building (approx. 1,080 s.f.) as well as attend internal Team meetings, attend meetings with the University, coordination of the building permit, and construction administration as required.
Status: Completed in 2023
